Wedding photo sharing with a QR code, no app needed
Collect photos from wedding guests at every event, from the Holud or Mehndi to the reception. Guests scan a QR code, add photos from their phone browser, and your family keeps the album.
How it works
Set up once, then every guest pitches in
Step 1: Add a chapter for each event
Name the album and list your events: Holud, Mehndi, Sangeet, Nikah, Walima, or simply the ceremony and reception. Every chapter gets its own QR code and link.
Step 2: Put the QR codes out
Print a QR card for each stage or table, add it to the invitation, or post the link in the family group chat. Guests add photos from their phone browser. No app, no account.
Step 3: Keep every photo together
Photos land in the right chapter. Mark favourites, hide any that should stay private, play a slideshow and download everything as a ZIP whenever you like.
Made for weddings
For one-day weddings and five-event weddings alike
One QR code per event
A three-day South Asian wedding or a single afternoon: each event has its own chapter and QR code, so Mehndi photos never get mixed up with the Walima.
No app and no account for guests
Guests scan, type their name and pick photos. It works for grandparents at the reception and cousins sending photos from abroad.
Quick uploads, originals kept
Each phone makes smaller preview copies before sending, so uploads move along on busy venue Wi-Fi. The original is kept too, and a photo added twice is skipped.
Both families keep the album
The couple are keepers. Add parents or siblings as helpers, and name heirs so the album is never stranded with one person.
Blessings in any language
Guests can leave written blessings and wishes next to their photos, in Bangla, Urdu, Hindi, English or any language they write in.
No 7-day or 30-day expiry
The album does not close after the wedding week. Late photos from the uncle who finally found his cable are just as welcome a month later.
FAQ
Wedding photo sharing questions
Do wedding guests need to download an app or create an account?
No. Guests scan the QR code or tap the link, type their name and choose photos from their phone. Everything happens in the phone's web browser, with no app to install and no account or password.
Can we have a separate QR code for the Holud, Mehndi, Nikah and Walima?
Yes. Every album is split into chapters, one per event, and each chapter has its own QR code and link. Photos go straight into the chapter for that event. You can name chapters anything, so a single-day wedding can simply use Ceremony and Reception.
How much does it cost?
MyPhotoAlbum is free during the alpha, with up to 200 photos per album. There is no time limit on the album and nothing to pay to keep it.
Are the photos kept at full quality?
Yes. The original file each guest sends is kept, up to 25 MB per photo. The guest's phone also makes smaller copies for quick viewing, which keeps uploads fast on venue Wi-Fi. Keepers can download every photo whenever they like.
Who can see our wedding photos?
The full album is for the family: the keepers and the helpers and heirs they add. Guests see a few recent photos on the upload page so they know it is working, and any photo a keeper hides is never shown to guests. Albums are kept out of search engines.
How long is the album kept?
There is no 7-day or 30-day window. The album stays open after the wedding and belongs to your family. Name heirs so someone else can look after it later.
Can we download all the photos at once?
Yes. Keepers can download the whole album as a ZIP file at any time, and can mark favourites, hide photos and play a slideshow in any browser.
What happens if a guest uploads the same photo twice?
It is skipped. Each photo gets a fingerprint in the guest's browser, so when the same picture is sent again, even by a different guest, it is recognised and not added a second time.
